A little about us:
Amanda
- Has an obsessive relationship with making homemade ice cream. There are always 3 or 4 containers of new flavors in her freezer.
- She has lived in several places in Europe and spent a year teaching English in Japan. She now teaches art at the local Rec Center and for Sheridan Public Schools after hours program.
- She loves to travel and uses any excuse to take a trip.
- Amanda reads 2 to 3 books a week, and a number of them features swords and wizards. She acknowledges this makes her a giant nerd.
- She loves Colorado, her friends and family.
- Amanda lives with her husband, AC, and their two black cats, Oscar and Lulu. Having two black cats makes it a lot easier to pick out clothes – just avoid anything white!
Debi
- Debi refuses to watch scary films. Life’s way to short to pay good money to have the crap scared out of you.
- She’s very grateful to whoever it was that invented the spell checker and the calculator.
- She feels that education should never stop – get out and try new things, travel the world, cook new foods, meet new and unusual people. Life’s short…. experiment! But bungee jumping…. not happening.
- Debi loves dark chocolate, Mexican food, book stores and an occasional drink. An occasional drink with friends is even better.
- She’d rather be living in a much warmer climate, preferable one with a beach.
- Debi loves her husband of 32 years, their four children, her family and friends. Add to that a dog, 3 cats… it’s a full house!
Both Debi and Amanda are active volunteers with Destination ImagiNation Colorado teaching creative problem solving skills to students in kindergarten through college. Debi volunteers for the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep program doing bereavement photography for families who have lost a child.
